Here's some things/people I love!

Hello! My name is Kara Cody (pronounced like care-uh, not like Supergirl), and I'm a current BFA Musical Theatre student at Drake University! I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska, where I found my love for performing through choir and show choir (West in The Groove for all you show choir fans), which eventually bloomed into a love of musical theatre.

I was originally put in soccer when I was a kid (crazy, right?), but as it got more expensive and I wasn't getting field time, my parents put me in choir instead. Singing came very naturally to me, and I really fell in love with performing in my first musical theatre class at 9 years old, where we performed The Sound of Music in 10 minutes. Did we have rights for that? Definitely not. But that was 11 years ago, it doesn't matter.

All through high school I thought I would go into Music Ed for my career, but once the pandemic took theatre away from us for a while, I realized I couldn't live without it. Storytelling is one of the most powerful things you can do and I'm so blessed to have found my passion so early in life. I'd love to share it with as many people as possible.
